On April 17, 2020 RIDDC and RIAPSE jointly sponsored Take Your Legislator to Work Event: Essential Employees and their Supports. This event brought the organizations’ members and legislators together via Zoom to feature employees’ and employer’s perspectives, with feedback from the legislators. RIDDC Executive Director, Kevin Nerney, addressed the importance of legislative advocacy.
