Campaign for Disability Employment

At work, it’s what people can do that matters. The Campaign for Disability Employment is a collaborative effort to promote positive employment outcomes for people with disabilities by encouraging employers and others to recognize the value and talent they bring to the workplace.

The work of the CEA involves the creation of effective and innovative partnerships that result in the full inclusion of people with developmental/intellectual disabilities in the community.

Department of Labor and Training (DLT)

The RI Department of Labor and Training provides workforce development, workforce security and workforce protection to the state’s workers, employers and citizens. Through federal and state funding, it offers employment services, educational services and economic opportunity to both individuals and employers.

Rhode Island SCORE provides FREE, confidential counseling to small businesses in Rhode Island and nearby Connecticut and Massachusetts.We are a volunteer organization of working and retired business owners, professionals, and executives with experience in all aspects of business management.

Small Business Development Center (SBDC)

phone: The SBDC Program at URI is designed to deliver up-to-date counseling, training and technical assistance in all aspects of small business management. SBDC services include, but are not limited to, assisting small businesses with financial, marketing, production, organization, engineering and technical problems and feasibility studies. Special SBDC programs and economic development activities include international trade assistance, technical assistance, procurement assistance, venture capital formation and rural development. SBDCs also make special efforts to reach minority members of socially and economically disadvantaged groups, veterans, women and people with disabilities.
